Upper endoscopy

Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy is used for colon polyps, colitis, and colon cancer and abdominal symptoms as pain or discomfort, diarrhea, constipation. Colonoscopy is performed on an out patient. We usually use a sedative that can make you drowsy, it is called mild anesthesia. The procedure takes 30 to 50 minutes. If a polyp is found during the exam, it can be removed at that time. It is named colon polypectomy.
Abdominal ultrasound
Abdominal ultrasound is used to examine the internal organs of the abdomen including the liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, and kidney. This test is no x-rays exposure. We can look for the following:
A cause of abdominal pain
Stones and polyps in the gallbladder
Fatty liver, chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis,
Liver tumors, benign and malignant
Hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatoma, liver cancer.
